At Unique Minds, we’re all about effective functional communication and catering to individuals of all ages with diverse neurodevelopmental experiences.

Our Speech Pathologist offers practical and engaging therapies and group programmes designed to serve, support, and empower all our clients.

We provide therapy to clients who are: NDIS participants that are Plan and Self-Managed. We are also able to work with Private Paying, Medicare and Private health insurance clients. Operating from our office on the Gold Coast, Mobile Visits where available and online Australia wide.

    1. Adult & Adolescent Communication:
      • Assessments and comprehensive reports for NDIS that thoroughly cover all bases of any speech, language or swallowing difficulties.
      • Strategies for expressive and receptive language, social interaction, auditory processing disorder, written language and any other communication difficulties the client may have. (Think relationships, work & home.)
      • Client centred support for enhancing communication skills in adults and adolescents.
    1. Neuro-Diversity Approach:
      • Embracing neuro-diversity practices in therapy.
      • Providing autonomy and support for adults navigating communication challenges.

    Our pricing is transparent we don’t want any surprises to your funds:

     

    • Individual Therapy Session : $226.97
      • Includes 45 minutes face-to-face and 25 minutes for planning, notes, and follow-up.
    • Extended Therapy Session : $275.47
      • Consists of 1 hour face-to-face and an additional 25 minutes for notes and follow-up

      • Assessment & Reports:

      Times are approximate your therapist will let you know your billing options at time of assessment.

        • Assessment – Charged per hour, approx. 1.5 to 4 hours.
        • Comprehensive reports approx. 3 to 6 hours.
        • Letters of support or recommendation approx. 1-2 hours.
      • Therapy Assistant for Younger Clients (1 hour) : $86.79
        • Includes 45 minutes face-to-face and 15 minutes for notes and planning.
        • Sessions are supervised and planned by a qualified Speech Pathologist; supervision is typically charged at 1 hour ($193.99) divide over a therapy block (approx. 6-8 weeks). Any additional supervision required will be communicated.
        • Utilising a therapy assistant, supervised and supported by a qualified speech therapist, is an ideal way to address speech sound errors in children. This approach ensures your child receives the necessary therapy intensity to achieve better results at a more accessible price point.
      • Group Therapy Services:
        • Hourly rate of clinician divided by the number of participants. Each participant benefits from the same quality service at an affordable rate. Cost will include an additional 15-30 minutes of non-face-to-face time for planning, preparation, and note-taking to ensure best practice.
      • Travel Charges:
        • Time spent on travel is billed at a per-minute rate, equivalent to the clinician’s hourly rate. (Up to 30 minutes) Back to base charges may be applied where applicable. Additionally, there is an extra charge of $1 per kilometre for mileage.
